This X-Ray is for an ERROR kit of a 1969 Chevrolet Corvette by Revell. This kit includes:
1 set of tires and 1 sets of rims; 427ci, V8 motor; nice interior. Good: Excellent quality; plenty of pieces; reasonably cheap. Bad: Terrible decal sheet; zero speed parts; zero custom parts.
NOTE** – This is an error kit where the front of the box shows a “Corvette 429”. The instructions show the correct size of the engine – 427. There wasn’t a 429ci engine for the Corvette.
Price: $25+
Any idea what part #42 is for in this Revell Corvette kit? I can’t seem to find it in the instructions sheet. I originally though it was part of the fan assembly or the hood, but no… Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry. I didn’t get a closeup of that kit’s instructions.

For reference, part #42 can be seen in the photo of the model parts in this post, between the wheel hubs and the exhaust-pipe/muffler assembly. Maybe it was for a variation of the kit?

OH, if it is what I think, that is a air cleaner bottom – used in some of the big blocks.

Does that part get mounted to the underside of the hood? It doesn’t appear to be part of the engine assembly.
